I recently updated my makeup brush holder with a dollar store vase and some acrylic paint. I had been storing my brushes in a plain, clear vase and wanted something a little more fun, since the brushes it holds, do paint my face and all.
I picked a few colors from my shower curtain and bathroom to update my container. After I found my paints, I just started squirting a little paint down the sides of the vase. I would tip and turn the vase, to let the paint drip in an interesting way. I let each coat dry, before switching colors. The drying took a while, but the actual time I put into this project was under 10 minutes. Gotta love quick and easy updates!

Just used those paints to paint a terra-cotta pot tonight! Looks like that came from our sorority days!
