Heart Day Project

I just discovered Wordle thanks to Erin's Inspirations.  I thought it would be fun to make a Valentine's Day Wordle.  It was fun and easy to do.  I had a 5x7 printed at Costco for $0.39 and then framed it.  The frame was another clearance find at Target.  I think it was $1.47.  A cute Valentine's day decoration for under $2!

I heart Target Clearance!

Yesterday, while Parker and I were cruising the aisles of Target, I found a great little booster seat for $2.87.  I've been thinking about buying one for a while now, but hadn't yet and once I saw the price on this one I couldn't pass it up.   I love finding a good bargain.  It makes my day!

I've noticed I find the best deals shopping on Tuesdays.  Has anyone else noticed that?  It must be the day stores mark prices down.  Plus there are usually less people shopping on Tuesdays, so it makes shopping more enjoyable.

Daydreaming

On snowy days like today, it really makes me wish I was back in Maui.

Anyways, I've had these laying around ever since we got back from Maui and been trying to come up with something to do with them.

White & black sand and some misc shells and rocks from Maui

I found this shallow white square bowl at Target for $4 and thought I could do something fun with it.  This is what I came up with.  Not sure if it will stay like this, but for now...

I heart Maui!
Now, I need to find a place to put it where a certain two year old can't reach it.

Oh and here's what I did with some sand and shells from when we were in Maui for our wedding, four years ago.  I found these cool stackable jars at World Market that were perfect.  I wish we had a World Market in Missoula, they have lots of fun stuff there.

Back to daydreaming about being on the beach...

Happy Champagne Thursday!

Puddle Jumping

A few days of 40 degree weather + lots of snow melting + a couple days of rain = Lots of Puddles

So, we took that opportunity to try out Parker's new rain boots and splash around in some puddles.  Isn't he the cutest?  I think so!

And now its snowing again...I guess winters back for now.

A Perfect Slice

My new favorite kitchen gadget is the Oxo Good Grips Apple Corer and Divider.  It's super easy to use and fast when you are in a hurry or trying to multi-task.  So far I've used it on apples and pears and it works great.  I'm sure it would work on other fruits too.

4 Years and Fabulous

Chris and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on Saturday.  We took Parker to Silver Mountain, in Kellogg, ID for the weekend and enjoyed some fun family time at the Waterpark.

The traditional 4th anniversary gift is fruit and flowers and what do you know, Chris and I both got each other fruit.  I think were soul mates :)
I always have a hard time picking out cards, but when I saw the one with the two pears on it, I knew that was the one.

The goodies Chris got me.  Yummy fruit, cheese and cake!

A pineapple from Maui, since that's where we were mauied

Let's Make Some Noise!

Thought I would share my super easy New Years centerpiece.  Yes, I know its a little late, but better late than never.  I just threw some noise makers in a small vase and put some colored beads on a charger and voila a fun centerpiece!

And Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband!  We're celebrating our 4 year anniversary tomorrow!  Whoop Whoop!

Happy New Year!

I See Projects In My Future

Chris and I received quite a few tools and gadgets for Christmas.  My dad always gets super excited and goes a little overboard whenever I ask for tools.  For example, I asked for a few tools for Christmas, when I was in college and I got a big red tool box with more tools than I knew what to do with.  But, now looking back I'm pretty sure I have used them all.  So, thank you dad!  And when I was living in Kappa during college everyone would always come to me to borrow tools.

Here are our new tools and gadgets.  I can't wait to use them!

A New Power Sander
We had an old one that we bought at a garage sale, but I wanted a new one that had a bag attached to collect dust.

Dremel Trio
Cut - Sand - Rout

SuperClamp Workstation

Attachments for the Dremel

I only wish we had a heated garage or for the weather to warm up, so I could get motivated to start some projects and use our new tools.
