They are only signed up for one camp this summer, so we are working on a good balance of fun activities and unstructured free and play time. So far, we are only one full week into summer vacation and knock on wood it went pretty smoothly, with minimal fighting.
At the beginning of the week, we made a tentative plan with a few scheduled activities and then filled it from there. Both boys have a chore list and most of the time they like getting it done first thing in the morning. Then they need to figure out a way to keep themselves busy so I have time to get some work done. Luckily we live in a neighborhood with lots of kids, so they can usually find friends to play with outside. After I get my work done then it's time for some fun together!
Do you create a Summer Bucket List? If so, what's on it?
Here's to a great summer!
Cheers!
